Eigent\u00fcmer\u00a01932:\u00a0Karl Mittel II<\/p>\n
Karl Mittel II(1866) war Landwirt und Seilwarenh\u00e4ndler. Mit im Gesch\u00e4ft war sein \u00e4ltester Sohn\u00a0Siegfried(1897). Er selbst ist bereits 1927 verstorben. Seine Frau Sarchen folgte ihm 1933. Die\u00a0Familie war zur Unterscheidung von den vielen Mittel-\u00adFamilien auch als Wasser\u00ad-Mittel bekannt,\u00a0weil sie am Wasser wohnten.
\nDas Haus war bereits zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts in j\u00fcdischer\u00a0Hand, und zwar nannte sich die Familie Rosenbaum, in die sp\u00e4ter Wolf Brandis aus Ma\u00dfbach\u00a0einheiratete. Zeugnis f\u00fcr ein altes Judenhaus gibt ein Balken des Obergeschosses, indem eine\u00a0Inschrift eingeritzt.
\ndie besagt: „Jud From Abraham Simon B. H. 1806“, dar\u00fcber ein eisernes\u00a0Kreuz. Sie d\u00fcrfte bedeuten, dass der Jud From, Sohn des Abraham Simon 1806 in den\u00a0Napoleonischen Kriegen teilgenommen und dort umgekommen ist. Das B H bedeutet wohl\u00a0„Begraben hier“, eine alte j\u00fcdische Formel auf Grabsteinen.
\nDie S\u00f6hne des Karl Mittel II, Siegfried(1897), Ernst(1904) und Benno(1910) sind 1937 nach\u00a0Frankreich ausgewandert und dort ist mindestens einer von ihnen in die Fremdenlegion gegangen.<\/p>\n
